About Us

It all began many years ago with the seemingly impossible task of finding a lotion or cream that my sensitive skin did not find irritating. I found the results that I was looking for when I began using blends of essential oils mixed with almond or avocado oil. It made my face look a little oily, but at least it did not irritate and burn. Eventually, I learned all about the wonderful, natural, and non-irritating raw materials I could incorporate in my creams to achieve the results I desired.

Soap making was a natural progression from making my own skin creams, because handcrafted soaps are so gentle and the benefits to sensitive skin are many. When the bathroom cupboards of friends and family began to fill up with my soap, and after receiving accolades from all, I decided to begin marketing my products.

I called the company SilverSpring. The name SilverSpring reminded me of the cool, clean and fresh waters that we use to begin the soap making process, and that of our creams and lotions as well.

The dragonfly, our SilverSpring logo, literally arrived the first day of production in my new soaping kitchen. In he flew on that invigorating spring day to christen my space. He stayed the entire afternoon as I poured and organized essential oils. It was magical. By the end of the day, I knew he had to be my logo.
